We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Technicians to support the installation and integration of low voltage infrastructure systems across commercial and mission-critical environment. This role involves installing and terminating wiring systems operating at 50 volts or less, supporting critical technologies such as data centers, high-speed network infrastructure, building automation systems, HVAC sensors, and fire alarm systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage wiring systems operating at 50 volts or less
  • Pull, route, and secure copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6) and fiber optic cables through walls, ceilings, cable trays, and conduit systems
  • Install and terminate fiber optic cable, including connector termination and basic splicing
  • Splice and connect wires to jacks, patch panels, equipment racks, and network devices using specialized hand tools such as crimpers and strippers
  • Install and wire control panels supporting both low and high voltage circuits
  • Install and connect HVAC sensors and environmental monitoring devices used in building automation and control systems
  • Perform cable testing and verification using certification and troubleshooting equipment
  • Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine cable pathways and installation requirements
  • Assist with installation of data center infrastructure, structured cabling systems, building automation components, security cameras, access control systems, and fire alarm systems

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic infrastructure
  • Experience wiring control panels and electrical systems supporting low and high voltage circuits
  • Experience installing or working with HVAC sensors and building automation components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation best practices
  • Basic knowledge of the Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to electrical installations
  • Vocational training or industry certifications such as BICSI or CNCI highly desirable
  • Ability to work a minimum 50-hour workweek, including overtime as project schedules require
