As the Managing Director of Amazon Ads in Mexico, you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and profitability of our advertising business in this dynamic and rapidly evolving geography. You will use your deep industry expertise and exceptional leadership skills to transform our operations in Mexico, solidifying Amazon Ads' position as the premier advertising platform for brands, agencies, and entrepreneurs.
Leading a high-performing team of sales, account management, and operations professionals, you will be accountable for the overall P&L of the Mexico business. Your primary objectives will be to: 1) cultivate and expand relationships with key enterprise-level advertisers, 2) accelerate the growth of our Video and Streaming TV advertising business, including strategic partnerships with leading connected TV platforms and streaming services as both suppliers and collaborators, 3) drive adoption of Amazon's full suite of advertising solutions, including sponsored ads, display, video, and custom offerings, and 4) advance our ad tech capabilities and integrations to deliver best-in-class programmatic and performance advertising solutions.

Externally, you will serve as the face of Amazon Ads, engaging with C-suite executives, industry thought leaders, and strategic streaming and connected TV partners to drive innovation, shape the competitive landscape, and solidify Amazon's position as the advertising platform in Mexico.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the high-performance Amazon Ads team in Mexico (Sales and Agency teams) as well as the business rhythm and cadence (pipeline management, etc.)
Drive growth in Video and Streaming TV advertising by developing strategic partnerships with leading connected TV platforms and streaming services, both as suppliers and collaborative partners
Accelerate ad tech adoption and innovation, including programmatic solutions, DSP capabilities, and performance advertising products
Influence product/tech teams by advocating internally for Mexico-specific tech needs that may differ from central/global roadmaps, through understanding and representation of customer and industry trends/needs
Represent Amazon Ads in MX advertising and media industry events and institutions (e.g., IAB), both as as well as an active ambassador of Amazon Ads with key industry leaders/publications
Represent Amazon Ads Mexico in internal Amazon meetings/forums/events
Develop strong relationships with C-level executives across advertisers, agencies and key streaming and connected TV partners to unlock mutual growth opportunities
Grow Sponsored Ads penetration by strengthening both relationships and mechanisms across key internal stakeholders and teams
Liaise with internal stakeholder teams (Finance, GTM, etc.) to design/implement business goals and incentive structures
Lead a high performance, input driven and multi-functional team
Attract, hire and retain top sales and digital media talent
Provide strong mentoring and coaching to direct reports
Determine short and long-range business plan and translate this into action plans

Your days are dynamic and customer-focused. You'll lead weekly business reviews diving deep into pipeline health, coach account executives on high-stakes video pitches, and engage directly with C-suite advertisers on multi-million dollar partnership agreements. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to unlock inventory and solve client challenges. Activities range from agency stakeholder meetings to reviewing key proposals to strategizing on streaming TV acceleration. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving, celebrating team wins while addressing blockers requiring executive escalation
