The Sales Go-To-Market (SGTM) organization sits squarely between the product teams who make our ad solutions, and the field teams who sell it. Given this team’s unique position within the Ads org, the SGTM organization is often called upon to help drive GTM strategy and organizational change when doing so results in clear benefits for our customers.
As the Principal Video Strategy Lead for Japan, you will drive the development and adoption of video advertising solutions within our Large Customer Sales teams. This role combines strategic leadership in video advertising with hands-on execution, requiring deep expertise in both video and linear TV buying, planning, and sales. The candidate will work with product, account, and partner teams to create innovative advertising experiences, develop scalable solutions, and drive meaningful engagement with audiences through Amazon's comprehensive ad offerings, including sponsored content, premium video, and custom ads. This position demands strong negotiation skills, C-Suite communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the video landscape while leveraging Amazon's insights and flexible pricing models to deliver measurable outcomes for brands and agencies.
Key job responsibilities
The Principal Video Strategy Lead will work to:
1) Develop and scale video GTM strategies;
2) Implement tailored industry strategies; and
3) Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop narratives that differentiate Amazon Ads unique offerings tied to customer objectives and business outcomes.
