CNS Networks, a Congruex Company, is looking for a Foreman to join our Construction team.
Job Summary:
As the Foreman you will ultimately be responsible for overseeing field construction crews, ensuring safe and timely project execution, and maintaining quality standards across all job sites. You will coordinate onsite activities and deliver efficient telecommunications construction solutions. As the Foreman, your customers are internal project teams, customers, and local stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s success through leadership, safety compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Manage and track daily activities of assigned crews
• Continually inspect worksites for hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, state, federal, and company safety policies
• Operate heavy equipment including track-hoes, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, dozers, haul trucks, and trenchers
• Excavate and backfill trenches for underground utilities
• Perform conduit placement, proofing, potholing, and utility locating
• Complete rigging, structure setting, concrete forming/pouring, and asphalt placement
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• OSHA 30 Certification
• DOT Medical Card
• First Aid / CPR Certification
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications construction and heavy equipment operation experience
• Experience placing, pulling, and transferring strand, coax, and fiber
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications
• Strong leadership and crew management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate company vehicles, bucket trucks, and work equipment safely
• Ability to ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory safety standards
Qualifications:
• Bilingual Spanish and English speaking
• Competent Person Certification, Confined Space Training, Trench Safety Training, Pole Climbing & Ladder Safety, Flagger Certification, and Forklift Certification
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods
• Work performed outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and MVR review
