M&E Contracts Manager – Data Centres\n\nLocation: Essex (Office Based / Site Travel as Required)\nSalary: £90,000 – £95,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Commission Structure\nContract: Permanent\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nA well-established and growing MEP contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager with a strong background in the data centre sector.\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a developing data centre division, reporting directly into the Director, with a clear and structured pathway towards Directorship.\n\nThe business is offering the chance to play a key strategic role in shaping and scaling a high-growth division, backed by a strong pipeline of secured work.\n\nRole Overview\n\nYou will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and commercial performance of multiple data centre projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through to completion.\n\nThis role combines operational leadership, commercial oversight, and client management, with a strong emphasis on driving growth within the data centre sector.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage M&E delivery across data centre projects\n\n * \n\n Oversee project teams, site managers, and subcontractors\n\n * \n\n Take responsibility for commercial performance and contract management\n\n * \n\n Report directly into the Director and support divisional growth strategy\n\n * \n\n Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement\n\n * \n\n Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget\n\n * \n\n Drive procurement, variations, and cost control\n\n * \n\n Support development and expansion of the data centre division\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Contracts Manager / M&E Contracts Manager\n\n * \n\n Strong background delivering data centre projects (essential)\n\n * \n\n Excellent commercial awareness and contract management capability\n\n * \n\n Experience managing multiple projects and senior site teams\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership and client-facing skills\n\n * \n\n Ambition to progress into senior leadership / directorship\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n £90,000 – £95,000 salary\n\n * \n\n Bonus + commission structure\n\n * \n\n Clear pathway to Directorship\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to spearhead a growing data centre division\n\n * \n\n Senior-level reporting directly into the Director\n\n * \n\n Long-term career progression within a growing MEP contractor
