Position Overview
The Estimating Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the estimating department to ensure accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates for various construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver competitive and precise bids that align with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects across healthcare, laboratories, data centers, government, and industrial sectors.
  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine necessary resources and project costs.
  • Develop and implement estimating policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather information and clarify project requirements.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data to inform future estimates and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals to clients, highlighting the company's value proposition.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust estimating strategies accordingly to maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the estimating process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare, laboratories, data centers, government, and industrial projects.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in mechanical estimating processes.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
