Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre Project – Central London\n£85,000 + Benefits\n\nA leading UK contractor delivering large-scale mission-critical projects is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to join a major data centre build in Central London. With a strong pipeline of hyperscale and technical projects, this business offers excellent career progression and long-term stability.\n\nYou will lead the on-site mechanical package through installation, testing, and handover—managing subcontractors, programme, quality, and safety, while working closely with the project delivery and MEP teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Manage mechanical subcontractors across HVAC, pipework, and specialist systems\n\n * Coordinate all on-site mechanical activities with project and client teams\n\n * Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems\n\n * Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans\n\n * Monitor labour, progress, and programme milestones\n\n * Manage delivery, storage, and installation of plant and equipment\n\n * Ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards are achieved on site\n\n * Maintain strong client communication and reporting throughout the project\n\nCandidate Requirements:\n\n * Relevant mechanical qualification (BEng, HNC, NVQ, or similar)\n\n * Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical construction management\n\n * Background in data centres, pharma, cleanrooms, or other complex projects\n\n * Strong planning, coordination, and leadership skills\n\n * Proven track record managing subcontractor teams and multiple systems\n\n * Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements\n\n * Based in or able to commute to Central London\n\nSalary & Package:\n\n * £85,000 base salary\n\n * Comprehensive benefits package\n\n * Career progression with a market leader in data centre delivery\n\n * Strong pipeline of projects across the UK
