Overview\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major data centre project. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality, safety, and client relationships on a complex, mission-critical development.\n\nThe role requires a proven leader with extensive experience delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects for a main contractor or M&E contractor.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the data centre project\n\n * \n\n Take full responsibility for programme, cost, quality, and safety performance\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage project teams including construction, commercial, engineering, and commissioning\n\n * \n\n Act as the primary point of contact with the client, consultants, and key stakeholders\n\n * \n\n Oversee procurement strategy and supply chain performance\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with contract requirements, technical standards, and client specifications\n\n * \n\n Drive risk management, value engineering, and change control processes\n\n * \n\n Monitor progress against key milestones and ensure successful project delivery\n\n * \n\n Oversee commissioning, testing, and final handover of the facility\n\n * \n\n Ensure project governance, reporting, and controls are maintained\n\nEssential Skills & Experience\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on data centre or mission-critical projects\n\n * \n\n Strong background working for a main contractor or M&E contractor\n\n * \n\n Demonstrated success delivering large, complex projects to programme and budget\n\n * \n\n Strong commercial, contractual, and financial management expertise\n\n * \n\n Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\n\n * \n\n In-depth understanding of construction delivery within critical environments\n\n * \n\n Ability to manage multiple workstreams and senior project teams\n\nDesirable\n\n * \n\n Direct experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data centres\n\n * \n\n Background in electrical or mechanical engineering\n\n * \n\n Experience with international or fast-track data centre projects\n\n * \n\n Familiarity with commissioning and phased handover strategies\n\n * \n\n Professional qualifications such as MCIOB, MAPM, or equivalent\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive executive salary or day rate\n\n * \n\n High-profile, long-term data centre project\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to lead delivery in a rapidly growing sector\n\n * \n\n Significant autonomy and responsibility
