Roles Overview:
We're seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer (PE) to support a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Santa Clara, CA. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who is hungry to learn, eager to grow, and interested in gaining hands-on exposure to complex mechanical systems within a fast-paced semiconductor environment. The Mechanical PE will support field execution, coordination, and commissioning readiness across mechanical scopes, working closely with senior field leadership and commissioning teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day field execution and coordination of mechanical scopes
- Assist with schedule tracking, readiness planning, and issue resolution
- Track and support: RFIs, submittals, field changes, punchlist items
- Participate in field walks, coordination meetings, and system walkdowns
- Support commissioning and turnover activities, including documentation and readiness checks
- Coordinate with: mechanical contractors and vendors, electrical and I&C teams, commissioning and owner representatives
- Maintain focus on safety, quality, and documentation standards
- Mechanical systems exposure: HVAC systems, chilled water and mechanical utilities, process cooling water (PCW), exhaust and make-up air systems, compressed dry air (CDA), mechanical systems supporting cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environments
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, project engineering, or field coordination
- Exposure to industrial, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing projects
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic project environment
