Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager (CM) to support a semiconductor research and advanced manufacturing facility in Santa Clara, CA. This role is intended for an experienced mechanical professional capable of owning field execution and coordination across mechanical systems during active construction and commissioning. The Mechanical CM will provide on-site leadership, manage contractor interfaces, and support commissioning readiness and system turnover in alignment with project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide field leadership for mechanical scopes during construction and commissioning
- Coordinate mechanical contractors, vendors, and support teams
- Drive schedule execution, readiness planning, and issue resolution
- Support system walkdowns, testing, and commissioning activities
- Identify and resolve constructability, sequencing, and interface issues
- Oversee punchlist development and closeout for mechanical systems
- Coordinate closely with: electrical and I&C leadership, commissioning teams, owner/client representatives
- Ensure work is executed in compliance with safety, quality, and project standards
- Experience with HVAC and building mechanical systems, chilled water and process cooling water (PCW), exhaust and make-up air systems, compressed dry air (CDA), mechanical utilities supporting cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environments
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical construction management or field leadership
- Experience supporting complex industrial, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing facilities
- Proven ability to manage contractors and drive field execution
- Strong communication and coordination skills in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Semiconductor fabrication or R&D facility experience
- Commissioning or startup support experience
- Owner’s representative, CM, or EPC project experience
