Job DescriptionMEP Construction Manager – Data Centres Location: Slough, UK Sector: Data Centres / Mission Critical / Consultancy Contract: 1 Year – Ongoing Rate: £525–£550 per day We are currently working with a leading specialist consultancy delivering major Data Centre and Mission Critical projects and are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Manager with strong design experience to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work with a highly experienced consultancy involved in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex Data Centre projects, working alongside major contractors, consultants and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both MEP design and construction, with the ability to bridge the gap between design development and site delivery. Key Responsibilities * Manage MEP construction activities across major Data Centre projects. * Provide technical input throughout the design and construction phases. * Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings and technical documentation. * Ensure designs are practical, buildable and aligned with construction requirements. * Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and specialist MEP packages. * Work closely with design consultants, contractors and subcontractors. * Monitor construction progress, quality and technical compliance. * Identify and resolve design and construction issues. * Review technical submissions, RFIs, drawings and design changes. * Coordinate MEP interfaces with CSA and other project disciplines. * Attend design and construction coordination meetings. * Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and programme. * Provide technical guidance to project teams. * Support testing, commissioning and handover activities. Requirements * Proven experience as an MEP Construction Manager, MEP Manager, MEP Project Manager or similar. * Strong Data Centre / Mission Critical experience. * Excellent understanding of MEP design and construction. * Experience reviewing and coordinating MEP designs and technical drawings. * Strong Mechanical and Electrical coordination knowledge. * Consultancy, main contractor or specialist MEP contractor background. * Strong understanding of buildability and construction sequencing. * Experience managing consultants, contractors and subcontractors. * Excellent technical, communication and stakeholder management skills. * Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects. * Based in or around Slough / West London and able to commute to site. * Available for a 1-year contract with ongoing opportunities
