We are working with a market-leading main contractor operating across the data centre and industrial sectors. With a turnover exceeding £1bn and a proven track record of delivering schemes valued between £50m–£250m, they are now seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a flagship industrial logistics development.
The Role
As MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial management of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages on high-value industrial and data centre projects. Responsibilities include:
- Managing all commercial aspects of MEP works from procurement through to final account
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation for MEP packages
- Assessing subcontractor quotations, applications, and variations
- Monitoring costs against budget and reporting on financial performance
- Working closely with project teams to ensure accurate forecasting and cost control
- Supporting value engineering and risk management initiatives
- Liaising with the M&E Director and senior stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with contractual and client requirements
About You
- Proven experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor (or strong Building Services QS) on industrial, logistics, or large-scale construction projects
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge of M&E systems and services
- Experience with schemes valued £50m+ is highly desirable
- Excellent cost control, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams
