Mobile Shredding Field Lead - Virginia

Why This Role Exists

Phiston Technologies is expanding its secure data destruction operations in Virginia, and we need a proven field leader to own both sides of the operation — warehouse and field. You'll oversee in-house hard drive and media destruction at our Virginia facility and lead a team of CDL-A drivers and technicians delivering NAID AAA-certified on-site shredding services to enterprise clients, government agencies, and data centers across the region.

What You'll Do

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee in-house shredding operations at the Virginia facility — hard drives, SSDs, mobile devices, and other media
  • Manage daily throughput to meet client SLAs and destruction volume targets
  • Maintain equipment readiness for warehouse shredders and related destruction systems
  • Enforce chain-of-custody procedures from media intake through Certificate of Destruction issuance
  • Ensure facility compliance with NAID AAA, DIN 66399, and NIST 800-88 standards at all times

Mobile Field Operations

  • Lead on-site shredding events at client locations across Virginia and surrounding regions
  • Supervise and direct a team of CDL-A drivers and field technicians day-to-day
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for mobile shred trucks, equipment, and personnel
  • Serve as the primary client contact during field events, ensuring a professional and seamless experience
  • Oversee mobile equipment readiness — shredders, trucks, and generators

Team & Reporting

  • Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, equipment operation, and client interaction standards
  • Complete and review Certificates of Destruction and daily operational reports
  • Coordinate with HQ

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in field service, logistics operations, or mobile service leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in the field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable with 30–50% travel (Virginia region and occasional regional travel)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check (required for NAID AAA compliance)
  • Physically capable of working in field environments (lifting 50+ lbs, outdoor and warehouse settings)

Strongly :

  • Experience in ITAD (IT Asset Disposition), secure shredding, or data destruction services
  • NAID AAA or chain-of-custody compliance background
  • Familiarity with hard drive shredding, degaussing, or destruction equipment
  • CDL-A license or experience managing CDL-A operators
  • Prior experience working with government, enterprise, or data center clients
