Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Are you an adaptable engineer who enjoys the stability of a single-site role? We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our dedicated onsite team at a prestigious, high-profile facility.
In this role, you won't be wasting hours in a van. Instead, you will be the "go-to" technical expert for a massive, modern estate, ensuring that critical infrastructure remains operational and safe.
The Role
You will be responsible for a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Repairs across a diverse range of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems: Troubleshooting and maintaining lighting (emergency and PIR), power distribution, switchgear, and motors.
Mechanical & HVAC: Basic plumbing, AHUs (Air Handling Units), FCUs (Fan Coil Units), pumps, and cooling towers. (Advantagous)
Compliance: Conducting fire alarm testing, emergency light testing, and updating digital logbooks.
Contractor Management: Overseeing specialist sub-contractors when they visit the site.
Fault Finding: Using your diagnostic skills to minimize downtime on critical plant equipment.
What You Bring
We are looking for a "can-do" attitude and a solid technical foundation.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) and 18th Edition (BS7671).
Experience: Previous experience working in a commercial or industrial maintenance environment (Offices, Hospitals, Data Centres, or Manufacturing).
Skillset: While you are electrically biased, you are comfortable turning your hand to basic mechanical tasks.
Communication: You will be client-facing, so a professional manner and clear communication are essential.
