US Trades is seeking an experienced Crane Operator with NCCCO TLL and LAT endorsements for a long-term assignment supporting a large-scale data center construction project. This position will be based at the project’s storage and laydown yard and will focus on safely loading and unloading materials and equipment from incoming and outgoing trucks. This opportunity offers steady, long-term work with a predictable schedule and the potential for continued employment as the project progresses over the next several years.
Key Responsibilities
•Operate a 90-ton Grove Rough Terrain crane and Kobelco 11000 lattice boom crawler crane
•Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and components in the storage yard
•Coordinate lifts with riggers, ground personnel, and site supervision
•Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns
•Assist with general material-handling tasks between crane operations
•Operate forklifts and Lull/telehandlers as needed to support yard operations
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laydown yard
•Follow all site-specific safety rules and company policies
Schedule & Duration
•Average 40 hours per week
•Occasional overtime as project demands require
•Long-term assignment with project schedules extending 3–4 years
Per Diem & Relocation
•Per diem provided for the first 8 weeks
•Per diem will discontinue after 8 weeks, with the expectation of relocation to the project area due to the long-term nature of the work
Required Qualifications
•Valid NCCCO TLL and LAT certifications
•Proven experience operating rough terrain and lattice boom cranes
•Experience working in laydown yards, storage yards, or similar industrial environments
•Ability and willingness to operate forklifts and Lull/telehandlers as needed
•Strong understanding of crane safety, load charts, and lift planning
•Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
