  • Client is a IT Service provider. This role will support 1 client supported by a team of 4 network engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities

\n

  • This role is for a Network Engineer who will be part of the Global Network Operations team.
  • \n

  • Provide L2/L3 Operations support for investigation, troubleshooting and resolving network communications, firewall issues and operations issues impacting client, backbone access, or performance;
  • \n

  • Participate in Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Management, Event Management, and Problem Management for all client environments
  • \n

  • Perform a consultative role to both internal and external customers
  • \n

  • Proactively monitor client network performance to assess and make recommendations for improvement
  • \n

  • Contribute to documentation, automation and processes improvement
  • \n

  • Provide technical input on network projects or activities involving design approach and systems technology
  • \n

REQUIREMENTS

\n

    \n
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience within the Network space
  • \n

  • Network engineering and design experience with exposure to two or more of the following areas: LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, security, VOIP, QoS
  • \n

  • Firewall experience with some of these: Palo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA
  • \n

  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol communications, addressing & subnetting
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio; routers, switches, wireless, ACS and ISE
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of Network diagnostics, protocols, and disciplines, EIGRP, BGP, eBGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, and MPLS technologies
  • \n

  • Experience with DNS architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting including forward/reverse lookups, zone management, and DNS security
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) solutions including grid management, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for data center networking, including fabric deployment, policy configuration, endpoint groups, contracts, and troubleshooting
  • \n

  • Experience with Aruba wireless technologies including Aruba Central, wireless controllers, access points, and ClearPass for network access control
  • \n

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, and excellent customer support capabilities
  • \n

  • Self-motivated demonstrating strong organizational and listening skills; and very detail oriented with the ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • \n

  • Ability to consistently act in a professional manner and communicate with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • \n

  • Methodical problem resolving skills and ability to develop high level and detailed network designs
  • \n

  • Exposure to design, engineering and implementation of Software Defined Networking
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to continuously adapt to new technologies and trends and learn new skills quickly
  • \n

    \n
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols and firewalls
  • \n

  • Experience with SDN technologies such as VMWare NSX
  • \n

  • Experience and working knowledge of scripting/automation tools such as python, Ansible etc. will be a huge plus and will make you standout
  • \n

  • Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5, Netscaler, A10
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • \n

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP desired
  • \n

  • Experience supporting CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) environments and familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA, MARS-E, and CMS ARS (Acceptable Risk Safeguards)
  • \n

  • Experience participating in security audits and providing documentation and evidence of network controls, configurations, and compliance in regulated environments
  • \n

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($45/hr-50/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
