Network Reliability Engineer L3/L4

Experience

\n

10 + years of experience supporting enterprise network environments across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Security, and Data Center technologies.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop backend and full-stack features using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL.

\n

• Build and maintain REST / GraphQL APIs.

\n

• Create automation workflows for network operations and approvals.

\n

• Work with MongoDB, Redis, Celery, and RabbitMQ for data handling and background tasks.

\n

• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

\n

• Support automation using Terraform and Ansible.

\n

• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

\n

• Integrate with tools such as ServiceNow, Git, and network vendor APIs.

\n

• UI full stack experience for JS and HTML catalogs creations.

\n

\n

\n

Technical Skills

\n

\n
• Experience in network engineering / NOC / NRE / NetDevOps roles.

\n

• Core Networking: Strong in Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs, HSRP/VRRP, etc.).

\n

• Network Domains: Hands-on in one or more areas – Enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Data Center (Nexus/ACI), WLAN, firewalls, or load balancers.

\n

• Automation & NetDevOps:

\n

• Design, build, and maintain network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD.

\n

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for configuration and lifecycle management.

\n

• Integrate workflows with Source of Truth (NetBox/Nautobot) and ITSM tools (ServiceNow).

\n

• Develop reusable modules, playbooks, and pipelines for provisioning, upgrades, backups, and compliance.

\n

• Use Python with network libraries (Netmiko, NAPALM, pyATS, etc. as a plus).

\n

• Git & CI/CD: Comfortable with Git (branches, merge requests) and basic CI/CD pipelines.

\n

• Observability: Experience with at least one monitoring stack (SolarWinds, Cisco DNAC, ThousandEyes, Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk/ELK, etc.).

\n

• Protocols & Troubleshooting: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, QoS, and proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure.

\n

• Collaboration & Design:

\n

• Work closely with network architects, operations, SRE, and application teams to embed reliability by design.

\n

• Contribute to network design reviews focusing on resilience, failure domains, capacity, and automation readiness.

\n

• Documentation & Mentoring:

\n

• Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for ops teams.

\n

• Mentor engineers on NetDevOps, automation, and reliability best practices.

\n

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
