Job Description

A confidential transactional law firm is seeking a commercial real estate associate (5th to 6th year and more senior attorneys encouraged) to support sophisticated acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters. This is a strong fit for an attorney who enjoys running meaningful workstreams, negotiating directly with opposing counsel, and advising business minded clients on complex, multistate deals.

THE ROLE

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, easements, and related real estate documents

• Manage deal timelines and coordinate diligence, title, survey, and closing deliverables

• Support commercial leasing work for landlords and tenants, including negotiations and issue spotting

• Handle commercial real estate finance matters, including lender-side loan document negotiation (as applicable)

• Provide practical counsel to clients on transaction structure, risk allocation, and closing strategy

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Texas

Schedule:

Hybrid, in office 4 days per week

Compensation:

Base salary range: $200,000 to $300,000

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, and/or leasing

• Ability to manage key portions of a transaction with strong drafting and negotiation skills

• For candidates focused on lending work, the ability to negotiate loan documents with a high degree of independence (often aligned with approximately 8 years of practice experience)

• Comfort working on multistate transactions

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Active Texas Bar admission, in good standing

BACKGROUND

• Lender-side financing experience, including loan document negotiation

• Prior experience working on transactions outside of Texas

• Interest in data center related transactions (training available)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Billable hours target: 1800
