We are seeking an experienced NPI Quality Manager to own quality execution for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs supporting HSIO OverPass products. This role is accountable for ensuring new products launch on time with scalable, capable manufacturing processes that achieve aggressive yield, defect, and customer quality targets. The NPI Quality Manager will lead cross-functional quality readiness, supplier onboarding, inspection strategy optimization, and production control implementation across global manufacturing sites.

This position is based in Valley Green, PA, with regular collaboration and engagement across global manufacturing and supplier locations.

Key Responsibilities

NPI Quality Ownership & Launch Accountability

  • Own execution of NPI quality strategy and deliverables to ensure HSIO OverPass products launch on schedule and meet defined quality and performance targets.
  • Establish and enforce NPI quality gate criteria, ensuring risk is mitigated prior to product release and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Provide indirect leadership and coordination of plant NPI teams, ensuring cross-functional execution aligns to launch requirements for both product and process readiness.
  • Drive launch readiness by ensuring manufacturing sites and suppliers demonstrate capability, control, and repeatability prior to ramp.
  • Serve as the primary quality escalation owner for launch risks, ensuring timely decisions, clear containment, and rapid resolution.

Manufacturing Readiness & Process Control Leadership

  • Lead implementation of robust production and process controls throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, with emphasis on launch stability and ramp readiness.
  • Ensure effective control plans, validation strategies, inspection requirements, and process documentation are implemented and sustained prior to SOP.
  • Own the PPAP process, ensuring all required elements (process flow diagrams, pFMEA, control plans, capability studies, validation results, and documentation) are complete, compliant, and approved prior to production release.
  • Drive early detection and prevention of systemic defects through structured risk identification, pFMEA ownership, and control plan alignment.
  • Ensure process validation confirms capability (Cp/Cpk), repeatability, and long-term scalability before authorizing production ramp.
  • Hold manufacturing sites and suppliers accountable for demonstrating readiness and meeting defined launch quality criteria.

Inspection Strategy Optimization & Metrology Excellence

  • Own inspection strategy and cost structure for NPI programs, reducing inspection cost per unit through automation, technology adoption, and supplier certification.
  • Drive continuous improvement in metrology capability, measurement system effectiveness (MSA), and inspection accuracy to match GD&T and critical-to-quality requirements.
  • Champion state-of-the-art inspection systems and modern quality methodologies, positioning HSIO OverPass products at the forefront of manufacturing excellence and launch performance.
  • Identify and execute initiatives that improve inspection efficiency while increasing defect detection capability.

Supplier Onboarding, Certification & Readiness

  • Support supplier onboarding and qualification for NPI programs, ensuring suppliers meet capability, quality system, and certification requirements.
  • Drive implementation of pFMEA, PPAP, process capability studies, and supplier certification models to reduce incoming inspection burden.
  • Own supplier readiness for launch, including validation of process control maturity and corrective action closure.
  • Monitor supplier performance trends and lead supplier improvement plans as needed.

Leadership, Team Development & Global Harmonization

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality engineers supporting NPI and global manufacturing launches.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and technical standards for NPI quality execution.
  • Influence and indirectly manage cross-functional plant NPI resources to ensure consistent execution, rapid issue resolution, and disciplined launch readiness across global sites.
  • Collaborate globally with QA leaders to harmonize best practices, standardize launch playbooks, and deploy lessons learned across regions.
  • Build a high-ownership culture focused on prevention, speed, and measurable quality outcomes.

KPI Ownership, Reporting & Business Impact

  • Own NPI quality KPIs and drive measurable improvements.
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts (DMAIC, 8D) to drive rapid closure of systemic issues impacting yield, quality, and launch timelines.
  • Ensure issues are contained quickly, corrective actions are effective, and improvements are sustained through production transfer.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 815 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Quality management experience with strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated history of working with teams across multiple geographies, including international locations.
  • Experience supporting or working within Asia manufacturing locations is a plus.
  • Proven leadership in continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancement of quality inspection methodologies and formal quality management programs (DMAIC, 8D).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification .
  • Proficiency in Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of product documentation and technical drawings, with emphasis on GD&T.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor and interconnect industry manufacturing processes, inspection standards, and quality control systems.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional, global environment.
  • Ability to operate at an extreme pace to support rapid growth, driven by the global AI hardware infrastructure expansion.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and drive initiatives from concept through execution with measurable results.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (Asia) on occasion (approximately 25%).
