Associate – Private Equity (Technology Focus) – Munich
Overview
A leading global private equity investor with a strong European presence is seeking to expand its Munich-based technology investment team with an Associate hire. This opportunity is managed via a retained search partner and is ideal for candidates motivated by long-term investing and value creation in the software and technology sector.
The firm oversees more than €100 billion in -generating assets and over €250 billion in total assets under management. With offices in more than 25 countries and a team of over 1,000 professionals globally, it has been consistently ranked among the top private equity managers worldwide. The Munich office plays a central role in deploying capital across the DACH region, with a focus on high-growth software, digital infrastructure, and technology-enabled services. The team has executed landmark investments in technology companies across Europe, leveraging deep sector expertise and a thematic investment strategy.
We are seeking candidates who bring:
- 2–4 years of professional experience from a top-tier investment bank, leading private equity firm, or top strategy consultancy
- A strong interest or prior exposure to the technology and software sector (e.g., SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, digital platforms)
- Analytical rigour, commercial acumen, and advanced financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with confidence to interact with senior stakeholders
- A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, high-performing culture
- Fluency in both German and English
- Willingness to be based in Munich with occasional travel across Europe
