Process Engineer – Media Manufacturing

The Process Engineer – Media Manufacturing supports the Production Manager in designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role assists with implementing process improvements, supporting day-to-day production needs, and driving initiatives for cost reduction and operational excellence. The Process Engineer also collaborates closely with the engineering team—both locally and internationally—to coordinate technical project design and implementation efforts.

Objective of this role:

  • Support definition and monitor implementation of action items to achieve day to day sustainable production output matching process and personnel safety, volume and quality consistency targets
  • Proactively engage into the development and implementation of a structured Continuous Improvement Process targeting process and personnel safety, quality consistency, volume output, on time delivery and cost efficiency
  • In close collaboration with Production Manager and Corporate Engineering function support preparation and execution of annual CAPEX plan to ensure that department is capacitated to deliver on targets for personnel and process safety, quality, volume throughput and costs. Cover role either as Process or as Project Lead in applicable CAPEX Projects
  • Support and lead introduction / scale up of new filter media products to production scale – in close collaboration with R&D
  • Collaborate in the definition of Quality Management Plan with applicable corporate function and drive / support execution of implementation in own area of responsibility (incl. keeping department QM documentation up to date and be QM audit ready at all times
  • Lead efforts to investigate root causes for customer complaints, definition of corrective actions thereof and implementation of such corrective actions targeting improvement of customer relationship
  • Be main point of contact for all other departments for all technical matters regarding production process in the department
  • Define and prepare content of technical training documentation as well as lead execution of technical training programs for department staff

Responsibilities:

  • Structure and manage multitrack projects from organization redesign to acquisition integration.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the proper management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical degree required, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • 3 or more years’ experience in non-wovens, chemical, injection molding or similar industry
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Involvement and definition on medium to large scale CAPEX project
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with organizational redesign or similar large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD design software is a plus.
