Join a thriving IT services company specializing in data center infrastructure and construction projects. This role supports the construction division, working with project-based accounting in a fast-paced, growing environment.

The Role

Our client is looking for a Project Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for construction projects, handling both AP and AR activities. You'll work closely with project managers, track costs, manage billing, and ensure accurate project financials. This role requires understanding of construction accounting principles and experience with project-based workflows.

What You'll Do

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for assigned construction projects
• Track project costs and ensure proper coding to jobs
• Coordinate billing activities with project managers
• Reconcile project accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support WIP reporting and job costing analysis
• Handle subcontractor and vendor relationships specific to projects
• Process change orders and ensure proper documentation
• Work in NetSuite to maintain accurate project financials
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5 years of project or construction accounting experience
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and construction accounting
• Experience with project-based ERP systems (NetSuite )
• Knowledge of construction billing processes and requirements
• Ability to work with project managers and field personnel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Construction industry background required
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
