Project Estimator - Industrial Concrete Projects

UIG Tank Systems is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our growing in-house construction team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in estimating and planning industrial or heavy civil concrete foundations—especially for tanks, utilities, or other large-scale infrastructure.

Our projects support mission-critical facilities worldwide, including:

• Hyperscale data centers – fire water & makeup water tanks for the world’s largest tech companies.
• Food & beverage facilities – process and potable water tanks.
• Essential infrastructure – hospitals, power plants, port authorities.
• Public and private utilities – municipalities, private water utilities, and U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and even the United Nations.

What You’ll Do

• Review drawings and specifications to define project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, anchor bolts, gravel, and related materials.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, and engineers to confirm costs and availability.
• Support bid preparation and help shape foundation planning for proposals.
• Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years estimating concrete foundations in industrial/heavy civil environments .
• Knowledge of formwork, rebar, anchor bolt placement, and finishing .
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and civil drawings.
• Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both field crews and office teams.
• Must be based in South Orange County to commute to our corporate office in Lake Forest, CA.
