Lead Multimillion-Dollar MEP Construction Operations

\n

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced Project Executive who is ready to influence major projects, develop high-performing teams, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future of a growing MEP construction operation.

\n

Our client is a well-established full-service contractor with more than 50 years of experience delivering mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction services. Their work includes new construction, mechanical service, industrial refrigeration, manufacturing, special projects, and other complex commercial environments.

\n

The Project Executive will provide leadership across multiple project teams and will have direct influence over operational strategy, financial performance, project delivery, client satisfaction, and business growth.

Qualified candidates outside the Richmond area may be eligible for relocation assistance.

What You Will Do

    \n
  • Lead multiple multimillion-dollar MEP construction projects and project teams
  • \n

  • Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other leaders
  • \n

  • Oversee project performance from estimating and preconstruction through completion
  • \n

  • Monitor budgets, forecasting, cost control, cash flow, billings, collections, and profitability
  • \n

  • Lead projects with scopes exceeding $10 million
  • \n

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, engineers, and strategic partners
  • \n

  • Support business development, client retention, proposal strategy, and new business opportunities
  • \n

  • Establish consistent project-management processes and operational standards
  • \n

  • Review project risks, schedules, staffing, procurement, change management, and overall execution
  • \n

  • Participate in strategic planning with senior leadership
  • \n

  • Promote a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and customer satisfaction
  • \n

  • Ensure project teams follow company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable safety standards
  • \n

What We Are Looking For

\n

    \n
  • 10 or more years of progressive commercial construction experience
  • \n

  • Proven leadership of multimillion-dollar projects, preferably with project scopes exceeding $10 million
  • \n

  • Strong experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or broader MEP construction
  • \n

  • Experience leading multiple Project Managers, Project Engineers, or project teams
  • \n

  • Demonstrated responsibility for portfolio financial performance, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability
  • \n

  • Experience with executive-level client relationships and business development
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of construction operations, estimating, scheduling, cost management, and project delivery
  • \n

  • OSHA 30-hour certification or strong familiarity with OSHA safety requirements
  • \n

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, judgment, and business decision-making skills
  • \n

  • Ability to lead independently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • \n
