Position Summary

VantagePoint Alliance (VPA) is seeking experienced Project Managers to support capital projects within the Power , Mission Critical (Data Center), Industrial Manufacturing, and Energy sectors. These opportunities may support Owners, EPC firms, Developers, or General Contractors depending on the project.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects from planning through execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project schedules and budgets, overseeing contractors and consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations.

This position requires periodic travel to project sites based on project phase and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution from conceptual planning through project completion.
  • Coordinate activities between owners, architects, engineering firms, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with Project Controls.
  • Review project estimates, change orders, and cost forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and earned value to ensure financial performance.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies with leadership and clients.
  • Manage procurement activities including equipment, materials, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Review engineering deliverables for constructability and project execution impacts.
  • Coordinate field activities and perform periodic site visits throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage contractor performance, schedule recovery efforts, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and client requirements.
  • Support project commissioning, turnover, and final closeout activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.

Experience

Experience supporting one or more of the following:

  • Power
  • Combined Cycle Power Plants
  • Simple Cycle
  • Nuclear ( but not required)
  • Data Centers / Mission Critical Facilities
  • Utility Infrastructure
  • Industrial Manufacturing
  • Oil & Gas
  • Renewable Energy
  • Large Capital Construction Projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field .
  • 8–15+ years of project management experience supporting industrial or commercial construction projects.
  • Experience working for an Owner, EPC firm, Engineering Consultant, or General Contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience managing project financials including forecasting and change management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • OSHA 30
  • Construction Management certifications
  • Experience with EPC project execution
  • Experience supporting Owner's Representative projects
  • Primavera P6
  • Microsoft Project

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP ()
