Project Manager – Data Center Projects (Owner’s Representative)
Chicago, IL | Office-Based | Client-Facing Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with 2–3 years of experience to join a growing Owner’s Representative team supporting the delivery of data center developments in the Chicago market.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven early-career project manager who wants exposure to complex, high-value infrastructure and mission-critical projects while working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of fast-paced data center programs, acting as a trusted representative of the client and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to support the successful delivery of data center projects. This is a highly visible role that blends project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as part of the Owner’s Representative team, supporting the client throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinating with design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Supporting project planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Monitoring budgets, schedules, and risk registers
- Preparing client reports and project updates
- Assisting with procurement processes and contract administration
- Attending project meetings and representing the client in discussions with project stakeholders
- Supporting the management of multiple project workstreams simultaneously
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in project management or project coordination within construction, engineering, or infrastructure
- Exposure to commercial construction projects (data centers, mission critical, industrial, or large commercial projects is a plus)
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
- Understanding of construction project lifecycles
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
