Job Summary

As the Project Manager – Volumetric Concrete & Micro-Trench Operations, you will ultimately be responsible for managing volumetric concrete operations, coordinating production and logistics, and supporting the successful launch and growth of Congruex's volumetric concrete division. You will lead field operations supporting micro-trench fiber optic installations while partnering with internal teams, suppliers, and leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. As the Project Manager – Volumetric Concrete & Micro-Trench Operations, your customers are Congruex construction teams and project stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through operational excellence, quality execution, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

• Manage day-to-day volumetric concrete operations supporting micro-trenching and fiber optic installation projects.

• Coordinate production, scheduling, logistics, and material sourcing while partnering with trenching crews, mobile batch trucks, suppliers, and vendors.

• Ensure consistent flowable fill and backfill quality while maintaining compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational procedures.

• Track job costs, production rates, productivity metrics, and project performance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

• Develop and implement operational workflows, quality processes, safety standards, and production best practices to improve efficiency.

• Support crew expansion, equipment additions, and geographic growth while evaluating batching strategies and operational improvements.

• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field .

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete operations, underground utilities, volumetric batching, or related construction operations.

• Hands-on experience with volumetric trucks or mobile batch plants.

• Experience coordinating multiple crews in active construction environments.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of trench backfill, CLSM, flowable fill, and specialty concrete mixes.

• Strong organizational, scheduling, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage job costs, production schedules, operational performance, and project budgets.

• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting startup or greenfield operations.

• Experience with P&L tracking or job cost management.

• Experience supporting fiber, telecommunications, or municipal infrastructure projects.

• CDL or experience working alongside CDL drivers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, twist, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and machinery.

• Ability to maintain visual and audible awareness of personnel, equipment, and surroundings to ensure safe coordination of movement.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and other required safety gear.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
