Leader in data center construction projects is seeking qualified QA/QC engineers for a long term contract opportunity in Ohio. Expenses covered if not local. Starts right away. Scheduled to last 2-3 years
must balance strict, mission-critical construction standards with ongoing operational reliability
The Data Center QA/QC [Manager/Specialist] ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and structural installations for mission-critical data center projects comply with contract documents, hyperscale reliability standards, and regulatory requirements. This role prevents rework and ensures a seamless handover to the commissioning team
- Conduct routine field inspections of data center construction and installations (e.g., HVAC, chillers, switchgear, generators, and cable trays) to verify compliance with design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and oversee specialized testing procedures, including fiber/copper cabling integrity and power distribution.
- Ensure all L1 through L3 (Level 1-3) quality tests are successfully executed and passed before full commissioning
- Develop and manage project-specific Quality Management Plans and standardized Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Maintain detailed inspection logs, track non-conformance reports (NCRs), and document all remediation efforts.
- Review construction drawings, submittals, and specifications for constructability and quality compliance prior to execution
- Collaborate closely with project managers, construction leads, and trade partners to resolve quality concerns swiftly.
- Work alongside the Commissioning (Cx) team to seamlessly close out L4/L5 activities and assist in Construction Turn Over Package (CTOP) requirements.
- Report quality metrics and non-conformance findings to senior leadership
- Experience: 3–5+ years of direct QA/QC experience on large-scale, commercial, or hyperscale data center construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of mission-critical facility infrastructure (MEP), and relevant codes (NEC, ASHRAE, TIA/EIA, BICSI).
- Certifications: Certifications such as ASQ (CMQ/OE, CQA), OSHA, or BICSI are highly .
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in quality management software. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
