Our Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas facility has a new and exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with strong analytical skills to join our Quality team. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that products and services meet established quality standards and specifications by performing visual, mechanical and electrical inspections, tests and audits to identify any defects or deviations from established quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of safety, ensure adherence to corporate safety regulations, and serve as a safety role model within the organization, including mentoring and training team members as needed.
  • Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections and testing of all equipment manufactured at Intelliflex USA.
  • Program and operate electrical equipment
  • Energize electrical products and other equipment, including Panels, HVACs, Battery chargers, UPS Systems etc
  • Perform equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Complete and maintain all test Quality documentation
  • Perform tests using multi-meters, clamp-on- meters, voltage detectors and hi-pot etc, including performing maintenance on test equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with all departments including customers to work to resolve quality related issues, including during production, final inspection and final release to shipping
  • Document and report all non-conformities (NCRs), and verify rework
  • Record engineering and shop discrepancies, non-conformities and material shortages utilizing internal systems and software
  • Participate in continuous improvement
  • Ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality
  • Engage with all departments, and people and stakeholders across the organization professionally
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent an asset
  • Previous experience in quality inspection for electrical, electronic equipment/components
  • Experience in quality systems an asset
  • Intermediate experience working with industry codes and standards, able to refer to and apply industry standards
  • Ability to read prints, including specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-lined drawing, wiring list and part drawings.
  • Use of hand tools such as tin snips, hammers, and power tools.

  • Flexible - ability to meet changing priorities to meet changing demands
  • Ability to work within tight timelines, manage workload with multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and across departments while maintaining professional interactions.
  • Must be open to continuous learning and feedback.

Working conditions:

  • You must wear PPE on the Shop floor (hi-vis vest, safety boots, safety glasses and safety harness on occasion)
  • Standing, walking and speaking for extended periods of time - within a large manufacturing environment
  • Performing continuous and repetitive movements
  • working at heights occasionally, no higher than 30 ft all types of ladders or proper lift equipment
  • Occasional outside activities
  • Working at a desk and computer required also
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
