Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire experienced Quality Technicians for the Minden, La. area. This is for an industrial plant that builds steel-structured modules for data centers. These are full-time temp-to-permanent positions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working day shifts. Weekly pay by direct deposit.
Pay is $21.70 - $34.00/hr. depending on experience
Job Duties:
o Responsible for areas in the production process that ensure shelters are produced and verified to meet all specifications per the Engineering drawings and Quality traveler.
o Read, interpret, and perform accept/reject inspection points in quality traveler based on company standards, including Prints, Planned Parts List (PPL’s), Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs), Quality Management System (QMS), and Quality Travelers (QT).
o Assure that discrepancies noted are communicated to appropriate personnel to include: Production Director, Supervisor, and performing crews. All discrepancies are logged daily into the QT and are listed on a daily report to be distributed to the responsible persons in charge of ensuring that discrepancies are corrected.
o Professionally present themselves, and the overall goal is to work as a team to provide our customers with a quality product.
o Fill in all areas of production such that cross-training and knowledge of all areas will be required.
o Attend quality and production shift start meetings and communicate items of interest to the team.
o Perform periodic audits of specific areas as required.
o Be able to communicate across several departments while performing inspections.
Job Requirements:
o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
o Employee must have experience at a Level 2 Electrical integration position. Electrical certificate and or training is a plus.
o Be able to interpret prints.
o Must possess the ability to accept/reject production work based on SOP’s, Quality traveler and company standards.
o Follow verbal and written instructions, demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail.
o Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written, as well as read, comprehend, and assimilate information.
o Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all employees.
o Computer skills required.
o The job may require extended periods of time in a standing position.
o The job may require the ability to ascend and descend from a ladder.
o Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Stooping and crouching for extended periods of time.
o Ability to work in all weather conditions.
o Pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
o Face-to-face job interview.
o Authorized to work in the US.
