Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Sector: Data Centre / Industrial / Advanced Construction
A leading international contractor delivering major construction projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of large-scale, high-specification developments in Frankfurt. These projects typically range in value from €20m to €100m+ and span across sectors such as data centres, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established commercial team and gain valuable experience in one of Europe’s fastest-growing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full commercial management of assigned projects from inception to final account
- Manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts for both clients and subcontractors
- Ensure contract compliance and provide commercial guidance to the project delivery team
- Work closely with construction and planning teams to address constraints while maintaining budget and schedule
- Support procurement activity in conjunction with the internal procurement function
- Monitor cash flow and turnover forecasts in line with finance requirements
- Identify and escalate commercial risks in a timely and proactive manner
- Submit accurate and timely CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and report monthly commercial positions
- Manage and develop junior/intermediate commercial team members
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Fluent in English; German skills highly desirable
- Prior experience delivering commercial support on major projects (€20m+)
- Background in data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, or logistics construction
- Commercially astute with strong understanding of construction processes and contractual frameworks
- Capable of working autonomously and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach
- Proficient in reporting and cost control systems (experience with COINS or similar is advantageous)
