Recruiting Manager – Vertex Solutions

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Recruiting Manager who can elevate our team, strengthen our recruiting engine, and help us expand our footprint in Architecture, Engineering, and Mission-Critical/Data Center markets.
Position Overview
The Recruiting Manager will lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters while owning the delivery engine behind our A/E/C and Mission-Critical placements. This role combines leadership, hands-on recruiting, training, and process optimization. The ideal candidate thrives in a relationship-driven recruiting model, can attract top passive talent, and can create consistent, scalable recruiting workflows.
This is a high-impact role directly tied to company growth, client success, and the performance of our recruiting team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters at varying experience levels (entry-level to senior).

Conduct weekly 1:1 coaching sessions using Vertex’s training frameworks (Blueprint, Scorecard, 30/60/90 plan, etc.).

Provide real-time feedback on sourcing, messaging, candidate management, submissions, and client engagement.

Hold the team accountable to weekly activity and quality metrics while keeping morale high.
Recruiting Delivery

Oversee and participate in recruiting for A/E/C and Mission-Critical roles (Architects, MEP Engineers, Studio Leaders, PMs, Electrical Engineers, Designers, Construction leaders, etc.).

Engage passive talent through consultative, relational outreach.

Ensure high-quality submissions, interview prep, reference checks, and candidate experience from first touch to offer.

Manage high-priority roles directly when needed.
Process & Operational Excellence

Implement and refine Vertex’s recruiting processes, documentation, and training modules.

Optimize usage of Loxo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and internal sourcing tools.

Track, analyze, and present weekly recruiting metrics for internal leadership.

Drive continuous improvement across sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and workflow efficiency.
Client Collaboration

Partner with Account Managers and leadership to understand current and upcoming client needs.

Provide talent insights, market intelligence, and recommendations for improving searches or filling hard-to-reach roles.

Participate in client intake calls and strategy sessions as needed.

Ensure recruiting delivery aligns with Vertex’s relational, high-touch standard.
Training & Onboarding

Lead onboarding for new recruiters joining Vertex, ensuring they understand industry basics, sourcing strategies, messaging, and the Vertex Blueprint.

Create training content, best-practice guides, and role-play sessions to develop recruiter skills.

Track 30-60-90 day performance milestones for new team members.
Qualifications
-
4+ years of recruiting experience (A/E/C, Mission-Critical, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry experience ).

1+ year of leadership or team lead experience is strongly .

Proven success engaging passive candidates and filling niche, technical, or senior-level roles.

Strong understanding of the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, messaging, screening, submittals, interview coordination, and offers.

Experience using ATS/CRM systems (Loxo ).

Exceptional communication skills verbal, written, and interpersonal.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
