About the Role

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving equipment reliability, asset availability, and risk reduction across Tate’s manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with plant leadership, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to develop and implement reliability strategies that improve safety, uptime, cost control, and operational performance.

The role combines hands-on reliability engineering, data-driven analysis, and project leadership, with a strong focus on critical asset management, failure prevention, and sustainable improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support reliability improvement initiatives focused on increasing equipment availability, reducing unplanned downtime, and improving asset life
  • Partner with plant maintenance and operations leaders to identify reliability gaps and prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate critical asset identification and ranking based on risk, safety, production impact, and cost
  • Analyze failure modes and consequences for critical equipment using structured reliability tools (e.g., FMEA, RCA)
  • Develop, refine, and deploy maintenance strategies and tactics aligned to asset criticality, including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance
  • Define, implement, and track key reliability KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability, PM compliance) to ensure sustainability of improvements
  • Use data and performance trends to enhance problem-solving capability, visibility, and decision-making within operations and maintenance teams
  • Lead or support capital equipment (CAPEX) and reliability-focused projects, including scope definition, justification, execution, and post-implementation review
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to ensure facilities, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained in a safe and reliable condition
  • Support the development, maintenance, and testing of business continuity and operational risk mitigation plans
  • Track and report project status, timelines, resources, budgets, and expected outcomes to stakeholders
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture, ensuring reliability improvements align with safety and compliance requirements
  • Share best practices and standards across sites to support consistent reliability performance in a multi-plant environment
  • Work Environment: This is a full-time position with a combination of office work and frequent interaction with manufacturing operations. Travel (50% - 60%) will be required to various divisional sites, supplier locations, or customer facilities.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a reliability, maintenance, or asset management role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Strong working knowledge of reliability engineering principles and tools (FMEA, RCA, criticality analysis)
  • Experience working with CMMS systems and asset performance data
  • Experience developing and improving maintenance strategies for critical production assets
  • Ability to analyze equipment performance data and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Experience supporting or leading cross-functional improvement and capital projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Willingness to travel (50–60%) to support multiple manufacturing sites

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma)
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
