About the Role

The Sales Engineer for Electrical Integration provides technical leadership throughout the pre-sales cycle for integrating electrical systems into modular data-center products. This includes supporting electrical scope across HAC structures, modular AHUs, liquid cooling systems, structural frames, and integrated pod assemblies.

The role partners closely with Sales Managers to interpret customer electrical requirements, evaluate integration feasibility, and define manufacturable modular solutions that meet safety, reliability, and hyperscale program standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Sales Managers to qualify opportunities, clarify electrical requirements, and define integration strategies.
  • Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and site visits to provide electrical and controls expertise.
  • Interpret customer electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), specifications, and equipment schedules.
  • Prepare proposal documentation, including integration layouts, equipment placement diagrams, and electrical scope narratives.
  • Review customer specifications, voltage and load requirements, redundancy schemes, and layout constraints.
  • Define how electrical components integrate into modular systems: power distribution, switching, monitoring, controls, cable routing, penetrations, and mounting.
  • Create concept-level layouts showing equipment placement, clearances, access zones, and routing strategies.
  • Assess manufacturability, safety compliance, modularization options, and installation considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL) and hyperscale program requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering to validate component compatibility, system ratings, and code compliance.
  • Coordinate with Controls Engineering on monitoring points, network interfaces, and panel requirements.
  • Work with Estimating to align pricing with scope, materials, labor, and testing.
  • Deliver technical handover packages to Engineering, Controls, and Operations teams after order award.
  • Monitor market trends in hyperscale electrical integration and contribute product feedback to R&D.
  • Support standardization of modular electrical integration kits, pathways, and mounting systems.
  • Help achieve revenue and win-rate targets by delivering technically accurate and compelling electrical solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of assumptions, risks, and customer feedback in the CRM.
  • Participate in internal bid reviews, RFIs, clarifications, and alignment sessions.

Additional Expectations

  • Travel to customer sites, field installations, and manufacturing facilities as needed.
  • Act as a technical authority for electrical integration — explaining tradeoffs, manufacturability, and code compliance.
  • Be proactive in identifying electrical risks, integration challenges, and cost drivers early in the bid cycle.
  • Represent the company professionally in customer engagements, design meetings, and technical reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical integration processes, sales tools, and modular kit designs.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–7 years of experience in electrical systems design, integration engineering, or technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution, grounding, component ratings, and redundancy architectures.
  • Experience integrating electrical systems into modular or prefabricated assemblies is a plus.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
