Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews to gather detailed client histories, documenting all findings methodically from start to finish.
- Design and implement tailored intervention strategies and recovery plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and progress.
- Monitor and assess client progress regularly to adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to craft cohesive intervention plans.
- Provide follow-up care for clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding their mental health needs.
- Recognize and mitigate behaviors that could obstruct recovery, while actively supporting clients and their families in addressing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensed status as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
- A passing score on the Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client progress and maintain treatment records.

- Familiarity with best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and knowledge of psychopharmacology relating to treatment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to connect empathetically with clients.
