Job Description:

Meade Engineering is seeking a driven and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. This role serves as a key liaison between clients and our engineering teams identifying client needs, providing expert technical solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-value projects. The Sales Engineer will combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet both client and company objectives.

The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing environment, demonstrates technical expertise, and possesses the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, value-driven proposals. This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Job Duties:

Client Engagement & Technical Consultation

  • Identify current and future customer requirements through proactive communication and relationship management.
  • Provide technical and engineering information on products, services, and equipment by addressing client inquiries and requests.
  • Develop and deliver detailed technical presentations, proposals, and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer records and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client needs and company capabilities.

Sales & Contract Management

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Close sales opportunities by effectively presenting solutions and securing client commitment.
  • Track project and sales progress, providing regular updates to management.
  • Support post-sale follow-up to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical leadership to junior staff or project teams as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the client, internal departments, and management to maintain seamless communication.
  • Contribute to strategic business development initiatives by identifying growth opportunities within existing and new markets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical consulting, or client-facing technical role.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex engineering solutions.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under minimal supervision.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the engineering, construction, or technical consulting industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal systems, or project management software.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or mentoring team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
