Job Description
OMEX Industries is seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to lead commercial expansion for our medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution portfolio, specializing in transformers (dry-type, pad-mounted, substation) and custom switchboards/switchgear. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing rep networks and distributor channels, securing direct OEM/EPC specifications, and leading strategic sales initiatives across utility, renewable energy, industrial, and commercial construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Revenue & Market Growth
\n

- Define and execute the annual sales strategy to hit top-line revenue, gross margin, and market-share targets.
- Identify high-growth market segments—including data centers, utility-scale renewables, microgrids, industrial facilities, and commercial infrastructure.
- Build and manage key direct accounts with EPCs, electrical contractors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and project developers.

Channel & Rep Network Management

- Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate independent manufacturer representative agencies across key regional territories.
- Establish and nurture relationships with and regional electrical distribution networks.
- Conduct regular technical presentations, product training, and joint sales calls with regional rep agencies.

Technical Sales & Bid Management
\n

- Collaborate with application engineering and estimating teams to review technical RFQs, single-line diagrams, and project specifications.
- Structure competitive commercial proposals, negotiate contract terms, and oversee project handoffs from award to manufacturing.
- Track market intelligence, competitor pricing, and lead-time dynamics to advise executive leadership on product positioning and margin optimization.

Pipeline Tracking & Forecasting

- Maintain accurate sales forecasting, win/loss analytics, and customer pipeline management within CRM software.
- Represent OMEX Industries at major industry conferences and trade shows (e.g., IEEE PES T&D, NECA).

Segment Strategy

- Develop sales strategy for different electrical segments.

Qualifications & Experience
\n

- Experience: 7+ years of technical B2B sales experience in the electrical equipment manufacturing sector, with at least 3+ years managing or multi-regional sales territories.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong technical fluency in power distribution equipment, specifically:
- Liquid-filled (pad-mounted, substation) and dry-type transformers (LV & MV).
- Low-voltage and medium-voltage switchboards, panelboards, and switchgear.
- Applicable industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL).
- Network: Established relationships with electrical distributors, rep networks, EPCs, and major electrical contractors across North America.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, or equivalent technical sales experience.
- Travel: Ability to travel nationally 30%–50% for customer visits, rep management, and trade shows.
