Scheduling & Planning Manager

Our client, a global leader in digital infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Scheduling & Planning Manager to oversee the planning, monitoring, and control of large-scale data centre developments. This is a pivotal role, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with strategic objectives, from initial development through to ready-for-service stage.

 

The Role

The Scheduling & Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules across all phases of construction and delivery. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with procurement, design, engineering, construction, testing & commissioning, and operations teams to ensure alignment of milestones and adherence to schedule management policies. This role requires strong expertise in planning tools, risk mitigation, and performance reporting within complex, fast-paced project environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Level 1–3 project schedules across all development stages.
  • Align delivery strategy with procurement, design, construction, and operations teams.
  • Support PMC in preparing Level 3 coordinated schedules with key milestones.
  • Review and validate contractor schedules (Level 4/5) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure contractors and PMCs adhere to schedule management policies.
  • Monitor progress, track risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Advise construction teams of major slippages or milestone risks.
  • Review and track recovery or acceleration plans where needed.
  • Consolidate reporting into weekly/monthly dashboards and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate schedule records and updates in Primavera/OPC.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, with management exposure.
  • Previous data centre delivery experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6/Oracle Primavera Cloud and Microsoft Project.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
