A leading US law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate (4+ PQE) to join its Structured Finance / Securitisation team in London. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing practice advising on complex securitisation and structured finance transactions across Europe and internationally, working with top-tier financial institutions, sponsors, and asset managers.

The Opportunity
The London structured finance team advises across the full spectrum of securitisation and structured capital markets transactions, including both traditional asset-backed securitisations and complex structured financings.
Associates in the team work closely with partners and clients on large, high-value cross-border transactions, often involving multiple jurisdictions and innovative financing structures.
You will gain exposure to cutting-edge deals across a broad range of asset classes and financing products, working with major banks, private credit funds, institutional investors, and sponsors.
This is a particularly attractive role for associates looking to develop deep technical expertise in securitisation while maintaining exposure to the broader structured finance and capital markets landscape.
The Work
The team regularly advises on a wide range of structured finance and securitisation transactions, including:
Traditional Securitisations
- Residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)
- Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)
- Auto loan and lease securitisations
- Credit card receivables
- Consumer loan portfolios
- Trade receivables securitisations
Structured Finance / Complex Asset Classes
- Whole business securitisations
- Aircraft and aviation asset financings
- Infrastructure-related securitisations
- Data centre and telecom asset-backed financings
- Portfolio and warehouse financings
Capital Markets / Structured Products
- Cash and synthetic securitisations
- Collateralised loan obligations (CLOs)
- Warehouse facilities and forward-flow structures
- Risk transfer transactions
Associates will be involved in all stages of transactions, including:
- Structuring and executing securitisation transactions
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documentation
- Coordinating cross-border deal execution
- Advising on regulatory and structural considerations
- Managing workstreams and liaising with multiple stakeholders

Candidate Profile
The firm is looking for candidates who can operate confidently within a fast-paced US law firm environment and who want to work on market-leading securitisation transactions.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ PQE
- Experience in securitisation or structured finance
- Background from a top international or US law firm
- Strong experience in asset-backed finance or capital markets transactions
- Excellent drafting and technical legal skills
- Ability to manage transactions and coordinate multiple workstreams
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to CLOs, warehouse facilities, or structured credit
- Experience advising banks, arrangers, sponsors, or asset managers
- Cross-border transaction experience
Compensation & Working Structure
- Salary: Cravath scale (top of the London market for US firms)
- Bonus: Discretionary bonus linked to billable hours and performance
- Target hours: Typically around 2,000 hours
- Hybrid working: Minimum three days in the office
