Position Overview

Moseley Technical Services is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support a global leader in semiconductor and data center engineering solutions in Phoenix, Arizona.

In this role, you will lead business development and sales activities for specialty gas delivery equipment and systems throughout the Arizona semiconductor market. You will be responsible for expanding market share, developing new business, managing strategic accounts, and building relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, fabrication facilities, original equipment manufacturers, construction firms, construction managers, and architecture and engineering companies.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in semiconductor industry sales, specialty gas delivery systems, strategic account management, and complex technical sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development activities for strategic and tactical accounts within the Arizona semiconductor market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing long-term business partnerships.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that increase revenue, expand market share, and achieve financial targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with semiconductor fabs, OEMs, construction companies, construction managers, and architecture and engineering firms.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, technical decision-makers, procurement professionals, and industry leaders.
  • Prospect for new customers and convert qualified opportunities into profitable business.
  • Develop account plans, sales presentations, proposals, and technical-commercial solutions that address customer requirements.
  • Lead contract negotiations, address customer objections, and guide opportunities through the entire sales cycle.
  • Coordinate timely, accurate, and professional proposal and bid activities.
  • Follow up on proposals and bids to drive opportunities toward successful closure.
  • Conduct reviews of lost opportunities and recommend adjustments to pricing, positioning, or sales strategy.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, performance updates, and market analyses.
  • Maintain accurate customer, account, and opportunity information within Salesforce.
  • Monitor semiconductor market conditions, customer investments, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, estimating, project management, and other sales professionals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, partners, executive leadership, and internal teams.
  • Travel periodically to customer sites, industry events, and other market locations.
  • Follow all company and customer safety policies while working in offices, production environments, semiconductor facilities, and customer locations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least five years of business development, technical sales, or account management experience.
  • At least five years of experience working with specialty gas delivery systems or related high-purity process equipment.
  • Experience selling products, equipment, or engineered solutions within the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business, manage strategic accounts, and close complex sales opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of long-cycle, technical, and project-based sales.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational, forecasting, and opportunity-management capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly attentive to detail.
  • Ability to travel periodically based on customer and business requirements.

Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Existing relationships within the Arizona semiconductor market.
  • Experience selling gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes, bulk gas systems, precursor delivery systems, or other high-purity gas equipment.
  • Experience working with semiconductor fabs, equipment manufacturers, EPC firms, construction managers, or architecture and engineering companies.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management platform.
