CVAL is looking for an experienced construction project manager to serve as our lead Owner's Representative on complex hospitality, data center and government projects across Texas. You will be the primary client-facing PM on 2–3 concurrent projects, managing architects, engineers, and contractors on behalf of building owners. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a fast-growing boutique firm with a documented equity/partnership track.
What You'll Do
• Manage all project stakeholders — owner, architect, engineers, GC, subcontractors — from pre-design through closeout
• Conduct weekly site visits; prepare clear, concise owner update reports
• Review and negotiate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
• Develop and maintain project schedules; identify risks and drive resolution
• Lead project meetings, document decisions, and manage action items
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and code compliance activities
• Oversee commissioning, punch list, and owner training at closeout
• Support business development by participating in client presentations and proposal development
What We're Looking For
• 7–12 years of construction project management experience, ideally in an owner's rep, CM, or developer role
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from $3M–$20M+ in construction value
• Strong understanding of all aspects of construction (ability to review A/E drawings and challenge contractor claims)
• Excellent written and verbal communication — you will write weekly reports and present to ownership groups
• Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management platform
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to travel within Texas for site visits (DFW, San Antonio, Austin, Houston corridors and occasionally, other states )
Qualifications
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMAA CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
• Experience in hospitality renovation (hotel PIPs, brand standards), healthcare construction, or government/institutional work
• Bluebeam Revu experience for drawing and submittal review
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
