About this Position:

Job Title: Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Architecture & Operations:

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise infrastructure solutions supporting mission-critical systems
• Provide technical leadership for infrastructure modernization, consolidation, and optimization initiatives
• Oversee system administration, platform stability, performance, and scalability
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, availability, and sustainability goals

Networking & Transport Technologies

• Architect, manage, and support complex network environments including LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructures
• Design and support multiple transport mediums including copper, fiber, microwave, wireless, cellular, and leased-line replacement technologies
• Lead network resilience, redundancy, and performance optimization initiatives

Messaging & Collaboration Systems

• Architect and support enterprise messaging platforms and collaboration services
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of messaging systems

Voice, Video & Unified Communications

• Design, deploy, and support voice communications systems, including PBX, IVR, and ACD platforms
• Oversee video surveillance systems, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance

Security & Infrastructure Protection

• Lead infrastructure security architecture and implementation efforts
• Design and manage security controls including:
• Firewalls
• SIEM platforms
• Two-factor authentication
• Host and system security controls
• Asset monitoring and visibility tools
• Coordinate and lead activities related to:
• Penetration testing
• Vulnerability assessments
• Incident response and remediation

Data Center & Platform Services

• Oversee data center operations, including compute, storage, and networking platforms
• Design and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Lead virtualization platforms and capacity planning initiatives
• Ensure operational excellence, uptime, and recoverability of enterprise systems

Sustainability & Modern Infrastructure

• Support and promote green technology initiatives within infrastructure design and operations
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, system optimization, and sustainable IT practices

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a senior technical advisor to stakeholders and leadership
• Collaborate with security, application, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Mentor engineers and provide guidance on best practices, standards, and architecture decisions
• Participate in documentation, standards development, and operational process improvement

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Senior-level expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and operations
• Strong background across networking, security, data center systems, and virtualization
• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives and resolve high-impact technical issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.
