University of Warwick redevelopment - Coventry\n\nClient:\n\nOver the past 40 years our client has established itself as an industry leading M&E contractor operating within the UK. With a turnover in excess of £500M they undertake projects in a variety of fields including Pharmaceutical, Commercial Offices, Data centres, Residential and public sectors. Having reputable name within the industry they benefit form a large amount of repeat\n\nbusiness, with blue chip clients including: Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease, Multiple, Wates, Mace and ISg.
Projects range from £1M to £50M, consisting offit out, new build, major project and infrastructure works. As a result of increased work winning they are looking to expand their operations team.\n\nRole: Senior MEP Project Manager - £100,000 - £110,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Package (25% Bonus)\n\nBased in Coventry the successful candidate will be reporting into a Project Director. He/she will have an emphasis on technical input and coordination.
Within their own discipline they will be responsible for leading the engineering and delivery of the project(Project size £60M. MEP) The facility is on a large plot the site will house a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility within a University campus.\n\nThe install beginning around the end of Q2. The successful candidate will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover.
Key to this role is relationship\n\nmanagement, team coordination and project reporting. The position will be supported by a team of engineers, construction managers and supervisors\n\nRole/Responsibilities:\n\nTender review/validation \n\nDesign\n\nManagement (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)\n\nProcurement of subcontractors, kit and plant\n\n Technical submittals \n\n RFIs\n\n Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors\n\n Value Engineering where applicable\n\n Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project\n\n Health & Safety management (RAMs)\n\nCommercial\n\nResponsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.\n\nManagement of variations\n\nTeam\n\nCoordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors) \n\nProgress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings\n\nOverseeing commissioning stages\n\nFormulation of OM Manuals and client handover\n\nThe Ideal Candidate should have:\n\nHave at least gained a HNC in a relevant Building Services Course\n\nMust have experience running MEP over £10M\n\nMust have major commercial, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.\n\nStrong communication skills\n\n A willingness to develop their career and to strive towards promotion\n\nWill be familiar working on large shell & core projects\n\nA minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role\n\nIdeally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Wates, Mace and Lend Lease.\n\nIn return they offer:\n\nA healthy pipeline of work\n\nA competitive salary and package\n\nReal opportunity for training and growth
