Senior Electrical Engineer / Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer\n \nLocation: Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 days in office)\n Salary: Up to £90,000 + benefits depending on level of experience\n\nIf you enjoy working on complex projects and have had some exposure to Data Centre or mission-critical environments, and want more ownership, better support, and a clearer progression path, this is worth a look.\n\n We’re partnered with a growing consultancy that’s building a strong reputation in the mission-critical space. They’re expanding their team, and investing heavily in their engineers.\n\nWhy this role stands out This isn’t a role where you’re just delivering small pieces of design in isolation. You’ll be involved from early concept through to delivery, giving you real ownership and visibility across projects.
There’s a strong team around you with genuine Data Centre experience, so you’ll be working alongside people who understand the complexity and pace of this space.\n\n What you’ll be doing You’ll take a leading role in delivering electrical design across Data Centre projects, working closely with both clients and internal teams. There’s a good balance of technical delivery and project ownership, whether that’s leading full projects or taking responsibility for key packages. You’ll also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior engineers, while staying hands-on with the technical side and contributing to key design decisions.\n\nKey requirements\n5–10+ years’ experience in electrical building services design\nSome exposure to Data Centre or mission-critical projects\nStrong understanding of UK and/or international design standards (CIBSE, BS, IEC etc.)\nExperience using design tools such as AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech and/or Revit\nComfortable taking ownership of projects or key design packages\nConfident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams\nAble to balance technical delivery with project deadlines\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar\nWorking towards Chartership or open to pursuing itWhat’s on Offer\nSalary up to £90,000 depending on experience\nHybrid working (2 days in Birmingham office)\n9 day working fortnight\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\n5% matched pension\nMonthly health insurance allowance\nFinancial support for further education\nSupport towards Chartership\nOne professional subscription covered annually\nRegular annual pay reviews and promotion opportunities\nIf you’d like to find out more, apply now.
