Project Manager (Physical Security – Data Centers)

Location: Michigan City, IN

Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00/hr. (6-12 Month Contract-to-hire)

Bright Minds is searching for an experienced Project Manager to lead the installation and delivery of physical security systems within data center environments. This role will oversee projects involving access control, video surveillance (CCTV/IP), intrusion detection, intercom systems, and related low-voltage infrastructure in mission-critical facilities.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of projects from kickoff through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, materials, and field execution to ensure successful delivery. You’ll coordinate closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining strong communication and high client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll also track financial performance, manage change orders, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

As a key leader, you’ll work alongside field teams to ensure quality installations, safety compliance, and adherence to technical requirements. You’ll oversee subcontractor performance, support documentation and reporting, and help drive operational excellence across all phases of the project.

Requirements for the Project Manager (Physical Security – Data Centers):

• 5–7+ years of project management experience in electronic security, low-voltage, or related technical construction environments
• Strong experience managing projects involving access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and security-related cabling
• Experience working in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or highly regulated environments
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and project documentation
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects in fast-paced environments
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
