Job Description

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Inverurie, Scotland

Sector: Power and Renewables

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate tender budgets to ensure full scope coverage and identify risks.
• Develop and update detailed cost plans on a weekly basis.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, final accounts, and payment certificates.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly commercial reports, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and risk assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Administer contract obligations, manage variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee procurement processes, evaluate tenders, and ensure best value and compliance.
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships; lead commercial meetings.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
