About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team in Frankfurt, supporting the delivery of large-scale data centre projects across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key commercial role in one of Europe’s fastest-growing sectors, working with an international team on technically complex, high-value builds.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle—from procurement and contract administration through to final account. You will ensure that financial objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all cost-related aspects of large-scale data centre projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, and procurement schedules.
  • Conduct cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting in alignment with project objectives.
  • Administer contracts (NEC/FIDIC/JCT or equivalent), variations, and claims.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure cost control and value engineering.
  • Lead financial reporting and provide regular commercial updates to project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior QS team members, promoting best practice and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client commercial policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in construction cost management, with data centre, industrial, or high-tech project experience .
  • Proven background in managing large, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of European construction markets, procurement routes, and contractual frameworks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; German skills are an advantage.
  • Eligibility to work in the EU or ability to relocate to Germany.
