Location - Hybrid (Quincy, MA or Princeton, NJ)

Our client is looking to add a Senior Technical Project Manager (AWS Migration) that will be responsible for leading complex IT infrastructure, cloud, and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments. This role coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver projects involving mainframe systems, distributed platforms, cloud technologies, and large-scale migration programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects including infrastructure transformation, cloud adoption, and application modernization.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across infrastructure, engineering, security, and application groups.
  • Manage programs involving mainframe environments, distributed systems, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Oversee data center exits, application modernization, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Support high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with ITIL-based service management, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Maintain compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide executive reporting, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination.

Project Execution

  • Lead and manage data center relocation, AWS cloud migration, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Coordinate work across internal teams, client stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards and solution delivery methodologies.
  • Operate effectively in a multi-client managed services (MSP) environment, balancing priorities across multiple organizations.

Monitoring and Control

  • Lead risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and control across all program initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, scope, cost, and schedule across the program portfolio.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide clear, executive-level reporting on program status, risks, and milestones.

Experience and Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to client industry requirements.
  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management roles.
  • 6-10 years of experience managing moderately complex infrastructure or technology Project Initiatives
  • Hands on experience leading AWS migration projects; should have knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture best practices
  • Experience supporting financial services clients is a plus
  • Prior experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Proven expertise in project and program management methodologies and solution delivery frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success leading data center moves, infrastructure upgrades, or modernization programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including…. Servers and hardware platforms, Networking and connectivity, Software platforms and operating systems, Data center operations and infrastructure
  • Experience working with open systems environments; familiarity with mainframe environments is beneficial.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($70-$80/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
