As a privately-owned company, we are united by a common vision, values of fairness, integrity, and quality of service, and an unwavering commitment to global best practices.\nJob Description: \n\nAs a Data Centre Shift Leader / Shift Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the uptime, availability, and reliability of our data centre operations. You will oversee maintenance activities within the data centre environment, ensuring they not only meet but exceed defined SLAs and adhere to company policies and procedures.\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nOperate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment and systems under a rigorous change management system to achieve 100% uptime availability.\nMonitor and troubleshoot all site/plant equipment support systems, handling incidents, problems, changes, monitoring, escalation, notification, and resolution.\nManage mechanical and electrical plant and systems, including HVAC systems, generators, UPS, fire alarms, suppression systems, low and high voltage switching, water systems, and associated equipment.\nUtilize the capabilities of operational systems, including BMS, PMS, and CMS.\nCoordinate sub-contracted resources as needed to deliver safe and quality service.\nManage and coordinate all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) scheduled activities.Requirements:\n\nEngineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.\nX forces Engineering Qualification and experience.\nHigh-Pressure Precision Engineering experience.\nHND in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent (desirable).\nBackground in a Critical Environment / Data Centre (desirable).\nProfessional electrical or mechanical certification ( Craft Certificate, Registered Electrical/Mechanical Contractor, or equivalent).\nExperience in troubleshooting/repair of low & medium voltage electrical systems.\nExperience in troubleshooting/repair of mechanical/HVAC systems.\nKnowledge and ability to apply safe electrical practices according to guidelines/regulations.Candidate Attributes and Characteristics:\n\nAptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving complex issues through Root Cause Analysis (RCA).\nDetailed understanding of Change Management processes and procedures.\nAbility to follow procedures, system documentation, and track issues through appropriate entries into a Service Desk Ticketing system.\nDemonstrated good judgment and instincts in decision-making.\nCapable of actively engaging and working collaboratively with other support teams to resolve problems.\nKnowledge of BMS systems and a solid understanding of PPM/CAFM systems.
