Shift Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
Location: South East London
Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental – Days & Nights

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to join the engineering team at a large, mission-critical data centre facility in South East London.

This is a permanent shift role working within a highly skilled team responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure within a technically demanding environment. The position offers a strong basic salary along with significant overtime opportunities.

The Role:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Responding to reactive maintenance and fault finding across critical plant and infrastructure.
• Supporting the operation and maintenance of data centre building services systems.
• Ensuring all plant and equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Working closely with the wider engineering team to maintain uptime and compliance standards.
• Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring all work is carried out in line with site procedures.

Requirements:

• Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Experience within building services, critical environments, or large commercial facilities.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across M&E systems.
• Ability to work within a shift-based engineering team.
